Broken Marble - Stabbing my Heart
The music and lyrics of Broken Marble have become distinctively harder and bitterer. There are the unmistakable brutal guitar riffs the Dionysian and driving drum patterns and the robust as well as empathic and sensual voice of front woman Ina Zeplin. But then again there are always sophisticated elements in the massive foundation of their music. Transcendent and tender electro sounds almost symphonic references to the film music of Morricone and Co. and elements adapted from Hip Hop turn rock-hard music into Broken Marble. Sometimes full of anger and defiance like in the song Bodycheck then again full of melancholy and longing like in the anthemic Autumn Leaf - with their new album Stabbing My Heart Broken Marble want to rip into the hearts of their fans.

Whoop! ‘Black and White’, has far more in common with the diversity and depth of a classic hip hop album than the often formulaic and samey sounds of recent offerings from the UK grime scene. From the infectiously guitar-laden bounce of ‘Unorthodox’ and the lacerating dancehall beat and subsonic bassline of ‘Traktor’ through to the heartfelt soul of ‘Anniversary’, the raw untamed emotion of ‘Hush Now Baby’ which features rising mega star Ed Sheeran and the poignantly emotive down tempo hip hop anthem in the making and forthcoming single, ‘Don’t Go’.Wretch 32’s debut album boasts a kaleidoscope of musical influences and references that guarantee its universal appeal. Lyrically Wretch 32 steers away from clichéd self-aggrandizing boasting and couplets about fame and girls, and instead paints incisive and colourful vignettes of everyday working-class city life from the prospective of a young man born and raised on one of the most notorious estates in London.Packed with quirky and humorous narratives and innovative and poetic metaphors, ‘Black and White’ confirms Wretch’s status as the MC’S MC, positioning him as potentially the most interesting lyricist this country has produced since Mike Skinner.

2Pac - R U Still Down? Remember Me [Explicit]
R U Still Down? (Remember Me) is the second posthumous album release by American rapper Tupac Shakur. Although the album being credited as the second release since his death it is the first to be released without the creative input of the late hip hop genius. The album was created using previously unreleased material during different time periods of his career from Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z. to All Eyez On Me. Many tracks on the album came at a dark time in Tupac's life which involved the struggles of growing up whilst his mother was in prison and well before the controversial east coast/west coast rivalry with New York rapper The Notorious B.I.G. The albums lead single Do For Love was an instant success among the hip hop community and even though it didn't have the full invention from Tupac it is still regarded as one of his all time classic tracks.
